Why Have I Not Received a Payout?
If you have not received a Bitcoin payout yet, there are usually only a few possible reasons. Below you'll find the most common causes and how to check them.
Your payout threshold has not been reached
ViaBTC only sends a payout once your account balance reaches your selected payout threshold.
For example, if your payout threshold is set to 0.01 BTC and your balance is currently 0.008 BTC, your Bitcoin will simply remain in your ViaBTC wallet until the threshold is reached. Your funds are safe and will automatically be sent once your balance exceeds the threshold.
If you would like to receive payouts more frequently, you can lower your payout threshold within your ViaBTC account settings.
Outstanding energy invoices
Bitcoin mining works on a monthly top up system for electricity.
Think of it as prepaying the energy meter for your mining machines. Every month, your hosting invoice tops up your machine's electricity balance for the next 30 days of operation.
Invoices should be paid within 10 days of being issued. While your machines will generally continue operating during this period, timely payment helps avoid interruptions and keeps your account in good standing.
If an invoice remains unpaid for 30 days, your electricity balance reaches zero. At that point, your mining machines will automatically be switched off because there is no remaining energy credit available to power them.
Once the outstanding invoice has been paid, our operations team will reactivate your machines and mining will resume.
Your machines are currently offline
If your mining machines are temporarily offline due to maintenance, power curtailment, or another operational reason, they will not produce Bitcoin during that period. Since no Bitcoin is being mined, there will also be no payout until production resumes.
You can always check your machine status in your customer portal or review our latest operational updates in the FAQ section.
Auto Withdrawal is Disabled
Another common reason for not receiving a payout is that Auto Withdrawal is turned off in your ViaBTC account.
ViaBTC's automatic payout feature only works when a Bitcoin wallet address has been linked to your account. If no wallet has been added, or if Auto Withdrawal is disabled, your mined Bitcoin will simply remain in your ViaBTC wallet instead of being sent automatically.
Before expecting a payout, make sure you have:
- Added a valid SegWit Bitcoin wallet address to your ViaBTC account.
Once your wallet is connected and Auto Withdrawal is enabled, ViaBTC will automatically send your Bitcoin whenever your account balance reaches the payout threshold.
